Monumental Victorian Renaissance Revival Walnut Granite Hall Tree Umbrella Stand

Massive Victorian Era Renaissance Revival hall tree and umbrella stand, circa 1870s. Made from walnut with a large glass plate pier mirror set between ornately turned columns scrolled along the top with figural double hooks. Beneath the mirror is a granite surface over a hand dovetailed drawer. This area is flanked by two umbrella or cane holders with spindled backings and tin inserts along the base. The top is arched with a matchbook burl and posts are neatly carved and fluted beneath a layered sawtooth / repeating half moon crown. The burled motif continues behind the each column and down around the base. A truly exception specimen that will add grandeur to any space.

This stunning pair of elaborately painted early 20th-century Capodimonte figurative porcelain table lamps depicts vibrant bacchanal scenes, capturing semi-nude figures immersed in revelry and debauchery. The intricate details and vivid colors bring these lively and provocative scenes to life, showcasing the remarkable craftsmanship synonymous with Capodimonte.

Each lamp sits gracefully atop a brass double-tiered metal base. The lamps are in excellent used condition, free from chips or cracks, ensuring their beauty and integrity. The detailed design and vivid hues effortlessly complement a variety of décors, making them a striking addition to any home.

  

Each lamp measures 36 inches from the base to the top of the harp and 20.5 inches from the brass base to the harp's base. The ceramic lamp body is 9" wide. The metal bases measure 9" wide x 9" deep x 4.5 inches tall. Both lamps are perfectly proportioned and feature twin ceramic cherub handles. They are fully functional and serve as exquisite works of art.

The lamps have US standard voltage and come with their original wire cord and plug. Each lamp has a painted "Capodimonte, Italy" mark and the manufacturer's label, "Hand Painted M&R, Made in Italy," located in the interior of each porcelain lamp base. White silk gold braid-bordered lamp shades are included

Hardman, Peck & Company Rococo Square Grand Piano

This beautiful piano was built by Hardman, Peck & Company circa 1859, two years before the onset of the Civil War.  Instruments by Hardman, Peck & Company are exceedingly well-made and their square grand pianos are a bit rare today.

This piano is made of beautiful Brazilian Rosewood and is of the elegantly carved Rococo Victorian style. Note the beautifully carved moldings, legs & lyre.  Your piano is one of their higher-grade, more expensive models.  The piano features extensively carved moldings and trusses as well as four rounded corners with a finished back so it can be placed in the center of a room.  The piano also boasts a modern full 88-note keyboard, a costly option only available on the highest-grade pianos at that time.

The piano will be restored to like-new condition, both inside and out, all done with a historical perspective in mind.  If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system and can play by itself by streaming music live from any smart device.  Thousands of song titles are available.

Pair of 19th Century English William and Mary Style Wing Chairs

A pair of 19th-century English wing chairs that don’t just reference William and Mary—they revel in it. Everything about them is a little extra, in the best way. The legs are deeply carved oak, connected by turned stretchers with ornamental balls, and finished with Braganza feet that curl up like they’re about to wink at you. The silhouette is no less dramatic: exaggerated camelbacks, deep-set wings, and broad flat arms that stretch out like they own the place. We reupholstered them in a crisp indoor-outdoor linen—because you can be both refined and ready for real life—and ran a trail of oversized antique brass nailheads along every edge for good measure. The result is bold, tailored, and just a touch theatrical. They’ve got presence, posture, and a bit of that old-English eccentricity we’ll never get tired of. Not quiet, not modest, and absolutely not trying to be anything other than what they are.

It is fitted with a light that switches on when you open the door and it has been rewired and is in working order. The cabinet stands on decorative cabriole legs and is complete with working lock and key.. The pieces of this magnificent and comprehensive antique George V English sterling silver canteen of cutlery for twelve persons have been crafted in the Sandringham pattern.

Each spoon and fork is embellished with a paralleling border to the handle, in addition to a pointed terminal.

   

The original table and dessert knives, in addition to the fish service, fruit service and carving set all retain the original faceted Art Deco style mother of pearl handles; each with plain a ferrule.

The bowls of the salt and mustard spoons retain the original gilding.

This impressive service benefits from an extensive range of serving pieces, incorporating an exceptional matching silver fish and dessert service.

The fundamental components of this canteen were crafted by the Sheffield silversmith Emile Viner of Viner's Ltd in 1932.

The original mother of pearl handled knives bear the maker's mark 'Viners Ltd, Sheffield, Cutlers to H.M The King, Stainless De-luxe' to the stainless steel blades.

This exceptional canteen of cutlery is fitted to the original and substantial oak wood two drawer, lift up lid canteen table; this is an impressive piece of furniture in its own right.

The anterior surface of the box bears the original gilt metal drawer handles and escutcheon to each drawer.

The hinged panel to either side is embellished with an impressive applied carved wood floral rosette motif accented with a pensile drop.

One drawer of this exceptional and substantial canteen table has a vacant and versatile storage compartment to the rear portion.

Such services would typically bear ivorine handles, to locate a full service with desirable mother of pearl handles is rare and becoming increasingly difficult to locate; this indicates the high quality of the service.

Antique Chippendale Solid Mahogany Leather Glass Top Side Accent End

Exquisite, Antique, Chippendale Style Nightstand, salvaged from an old home in northeastern Pennsylvania. Except for the inside of the drawer, (which is made of ash), The table is made of solid Mahogany wood. In the center of the tabletop is a leather panel with a gilded, floral pattern on the edges. To protect the table top, the previous owner installed a 1/4" thick, tempered, glass panel with polished edges. Below the glass are 4 small scuff-protectors. Underneath the table top, there is a very wide drawer with 2, beautiful, brass, drop-pulls. Below the drawer is a flat shelf with a serpentine, (curved) front. The nightstand sits on 4, reeded legs with an elegant, pin-shaped design. Each leg has a brass caster at the bottom. The table is strong, solid, and sturdy, and in excellent condition. There are small nicks & scratches. However, there are no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, or warp. The only real damage we could find on the table are on the leather top.

Scarce 12” Cobalt Blue Staffordshire Spaniel Mantle Dogs c.1950 ~ A Matched Pair

 A large and impressive set, the dogs stand approximately 12” in height (one is slightly taller, the smaller is just over 11.5”), measure 9.5” wide, and 4” depth front to back. A small spot of glaze skipping which occurred at the time of production during the firing process is present on the nose of the left facing spaniel, as well as expected light uniform crazing on both dogs. This is neither casually noticed or distracting but is visible on close inspection. Otherwise their condition is pristine with no chips, cracks, prior repairs, or other compromising imperfections found. Wear is commensurate to age and history of gentle display use so please regard all of the photos as they form a descriptive part of the listing. An exceptional heirloom quality pair whose size and exquisite coloring will make them a crown jewel in any collection.

Antique Staffordshire Dog Pair Flatback Figures English C 1860 Large Size

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a good, well modelled pair of 100 % GUARANTEED original 19th century Staffordshire figures. These authentic and very gorgeous flatback figures are modelled as a pair of red King Charles Spaniels, each wearing a yellow collar. A Staffordshire flatback figure is a type of Victorian-era ceramic figurine known for its flat undecorated back, designed to be displayed against a fire or on a mantel shelf.

This handsome and very characterful pair were produced in Staffordshire, England during the 1860s. They have been together all this time, we would rather keep them together.

The dogs are well modelled with red, yellow and black decoration. They are perfect for anyone who loves good authentic Staffordshire dogs and English country house antiques.

Measuring: Each roughly 9 ¾ inch (25 cm) tall by 6 inch (15 cm).

English Staffordshire Begging Spaniel Dog Jug Red & White c 1850 - 1870

This is an English Staffordshire Begging Spaniel Jug, dating closer to 1850, but in the date range of 19th century 1850 to 1870. The material is a soft paste or pottery, produced by the Staffordshire potters during this time period.

The jug is 10 ½” high and about 4” by 4” at the bottom.

This particular spaniel is called a red and white spaniel, though the color is more of a russet and the white is an off-white.

The spout is mauve, with carefully painted black whiskers, a black nose and a brown mouth. The eyes are yellow and black. There is black at the end of the paws. There is a gold line at the neck to show a collar and tag. The top resembles a tricorn hat, a style worn during this time period, and there are red berries and green leaves. The mouth rim is colored in the same color as the eyes.

  

There is a lot of crazing. There has to be crazing because it shows the time period. The bottom is not marked as to the maker. That is also important as these original spaniels were never marked by a maker. If you see a maker’s mark, it is not an original. The bottom underside has an age line that you can see clearly in the photos, and it does not go through the pottery as there is no age line in the interior bottom. There is a flake of color missing on one side and I give a closeup photo. The nose shows a little color wear.

This jug had a lot of estate debris in it. I cleaned the inside, however the interior bottom still shows some dirt and staining from the crazing.

Antique Chinese Bed Qing Dynasty c1700's Ironwood Platform Tielimu 54in x82in

This is an antique Chinese Qing dynasty platform bed from the early or mid 1700's. Made of solid ironwood (tielimu 铁力木). Brough from Bejing to Hong Kong in the early 1980's it was professionally re-strung using traditional methods and material by the Hong Kong antique gallery where it was last sold in the early 1990's. This is a far superior restoration than simple wooden boards that are sometimes used. The black lacquer finish was waxed with beeswax and polished. 

It is a tru rare beauty and in fact rather comfortable for lounging on.
