Pair of English Georgian Style Ruby Red Leather Wingback Chairs

 

Stunning pair of mid-century leather wingback chairs or wing chairs featuring a dramatic ruby red leather upholstery. Made in the grand English Georgian taste with a mahogany hardwood frame. The chairs have large fully developed wings conjoined to rolled arms with decorative brass nailhead trim on the front. Supported by square molded legs in the front conjoined by an H shaped stretcher. The leather is smooth and supple with a nicely worn in patina and age. The chairs have a classic English profile.

Pair Of Howard & Sons Armchairs

 

A lovely pair of Howard & Sons armchairs, with deep-buttoned back rests. C.1850


Traditionally upholstered in the earlier Howard and Sons monogram cotton fabric, in blue.


Raised on walnut legs with all original Cope Collinson brass castors, both chairs with the firms number stamp to the rear left leg.
